Question 1

How do I begin the booking process?

Accepted Answer

Simply complete our enquiry form or call us directly. We will arrange a consultation — by phone, video call or in person — to understand your event in detail. From there, we curate a personalised shortlist of artists and guide you through every step until the final note is played.

Question 2

How far in advance should I book?

Accepted Answer

For weddings, we recommend booking 12–18 months in advance, particularly for peak dates (May–September and December). Corporate events typically require 3–6 months' notice, though we can often accommodate shorter lead times. The earlier you enquire, the wider your choice of artists.

Question 3

Is a deposit required to secure a booking?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A deposit is required to secure your chosen artist and date. The balance is due closer to the event. Full payment terms are outlined clearly in your booking contract, and we are happy to discuss payment schedules where needed.

Question 4

What happens if I need to cancel or postpone?

Accepted Answer

We understand that circumstances can change. Our cancellation and postponement policy is set out in your contract. In most cases, we will do everything we can to transfer your booking to a new date at no additional cost, subject to artist availability.

Question 5

Do you provide a written contract?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Every booking is confirmed with a detailed written contract covering the artist, performance times, set format, technical requirements, fees and all relevant terms. We believe clarity protects everyone.

Question 6

Can I hear the artists before I book?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every artist on our roster has professionally produced audio and video showcasing their live performances. We can also arrange live showcases or private auditions for certain artists upon request.

Question 7

Can artists learn a specific song for our event?

Accepted Answer

Most of our artists are delighted to learn a special request — a first dance song, a meaningful piece for a ceremony, or a company anthem for a product launch. We simply ask for sufficient notice, typically 4–6 weeks, to ensure the performance is polished.

Question 8

How many performers are typically in a band?

Accepted Answer

This varies by act. Our acoustic soloists and duos are ideal for ceremonies and intimate settings. Jazz trios and quartets suit drinks receptions and dinners. Our showbands and function bands range from 5 to 12 pieces. We will recommend the right size for your venue and guest count.

Question 9

Do the artists take breaks during the performance?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Most live acts perform two or three sets with short breaks in between. During breaks, we can provide a curated playlist through the PA system so the atmosphere is maintained seamlessly throughout the evening.

Question 10

Can we request a specific set list or genre focus?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. We encourage clients to share their musical preferences, must-plays and must-avoids. Our artists are experienced at tailoring their repertoire to suit the audience and atmosphere you have in mind.

Question 11

Can you provide entertainment for the entire wedding day?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We offer full-day entertainment packages covering the ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast and evening reception. Each part of the day calls for a different style and energy, and we will help you curate the perfect combination of artists from start to finish.

Question 12

Do you cater for destination weddings?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely — destination weddings are a speciality. We have provided entertainment at venues across Europe, the Caribbean and beyond. We handle all logistics including travel, accommodation and any local permits required for international performances.

Question 13

Can you provide a string quartet for our ceremony?

Accepted Answer

Yes. String quartets, trios and duos are among the most popular choices for wedding ceremonies. They can perform during the processional, signing of the register and recessional, and are equally beautiful for outdoor and indoor settings.

Question 14

What if our venue has noise restrictions?

Accepted Answer

Many venues — particularly historic properties and hotels — have noise curfews or decibel limits. We are experienced in working within these constraints and will advise on the most suitable acts for your venue. Acoustic and semi-acoustic options are available where amplification is restricted.

Question 15

Can you provide entertainment for large-scale corporate events?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We regularly provide entertainment for events ranging from intimate board dinners to galas with over a thousand guests. Our roster includes artists experienced in awards ceremonies, product launches, international conferences and incentive events.

Question 16

Can entertainment be integrated with our event programme?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. We work closely with event producers and AV teams to ensure entertainment is seamlessly woven into the programme — whether that is a live musical introduction to a keynote, a performance during a gala dinner, or a full concert to close the evening.

Question 17

Do you work with event agencies and production companies?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We have long-standing relationships with leading event agencies and production companies across the UK, Ireland and Europe. We are experienced in working within agency structures and are happy to discuss trade terms.

Question 18

Are your artists fully insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All artists represented by Invidia carry full public liability insurance. We can provide certificates of insurance upon request, and our team will liaise directly with your venue to satisfy any requirements.

Question 19

How much space and time do artists need to set up?

Accepted Answer

Requirements vary by act. A solo acoustic performer may need as little as 30 minutes and a 2m x 2m space. A full showband typically requires 1–2 hours for set-up and a stage of at least 6m x 4m. We will provide a full technical rider for your venue in advance.

Question 20

Do artists bring their own sound and lighting equipment?

Accepted Answer

Most of our acts are fully self-contained with professional PA and lighting rigs. For larger events, we can coordinate with your venue's in-house AV team or recommend trusted production partners. All technical requirements are confirmed well in advance.

Question 21

What if an artist is unable to perform due to illness or emergency?

Accepted Answer

In the unlikely event that an artist is unable to perform, we have a network of equally talented substitutes we can call upon at short notice. We take our responsibility to our clients extremely seriously and will always find a solution.
